Hot Off The Press

Hello folks,

I’m trying something new out. I enjoy writing and perhaps this is a new outlet to help express some energy and ruminations. I love writing in my Moleskine, but I think there’s some other dimension of connection that the analog journal just doesn’t have. Social media is too instant, and maybe hard to read, or even difficult to access at times. Everything is so saturated, so maybe this might serve as another point of exchange.

I’m interested in what an online presence can provide personally, and to others more importantly. I feel like most of the time I’m yelling into an empty void, whether it be via visual art, or posting about it. I’m definitely not interested in a dialogue just to dialogue. I’ve done enough of that already. But perhaps, I’m interested in just expressing for expression’s sake. I definitely not an authority on anything, and I think I’ve said what I’ve wanted to say via other mediums.

Anyway, I’m just beginning this journey on this platform. Thank you for stopping by if you found this somehow. I think a majority of what will come next will involve my experiences as a Native American artist, and as an artist in general. I’ve been doing this practice for almost 20 years now, professionally, and I have a lot of interesting stories to share. I think I’m able to share a bit with the world now, via the written word.

I always joke about this, but they should’ve never taught a Native how to write. LMFAO.
